VITALITY AND OPPORTUNITY

HOPE & MAIN

We rehabbed a vacant, century-old building into a state of the art workspace — a springboard for food entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams of building viable businesses.

EXPLORE NOW

It’s about people following their dreams of starting small, sustainable businesses that have the promise to scale and grow.

LISA RAIOLA, HOPE & MAIN

Transforming Concept into Reality

Prior to Hope & Main, 135 food-business incubators existed throughout the country, but none in Rhode Island. The vision behind this facility was to serve as an affordable and accessible resource for small food entrepreneurs to bring their dreams to life.

Ingredients for Success

This project’s highlights include three code-compliant, shared-use commercial kitchens — including a gluten-free kitchen and artisanal bakery. Additionally, there is production space, cold and dry storage, and a range of commercial equipment. The rehab also features a demonstration kitchen, co-working and meeting spaces, and a community event space.

Bringing Vitality and Opportunity into the Community

A recognized hub in the growing food industry to help aspiring entrepreneurs flourish, Hope & Main has sparked vitality in the town’s center and surroundings. This project was designed by architect Greg Spiess and built by TRAC.
